As we were leaving a local market this morning, we met a young couple who were sitting on a nearby park bench and started chatting with them. They were both familiar with the Bible, but professed they don’t really live for Him. I spent much of our conversation sharing the Gospel and earnestly pleading with them to examine their hearts and make sure they’re in the faith since there’s nothing more important than making sure you’re right with God! Toward the end of our conversation, the young man, Caleb, told us that his mom had just shared the same things with him before he left the house this morning! God was clearly reaching out to him! When Malissa and I walked away, we talked about how Caleb’s mom was obviously broken-hearted and concerned for her son’s soul. She could very well have dropped to her knees after he left the house and prayed for God to send someone else to speak Truth to him! We were likely an answer to her prayers! Join his mom and ask that God would open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel and transform his life for His glory and purpose!
It’s beautiful to recognize that much of our witnessing is directly connected to the prayers of faithful brothers and sisters who are interceding for their sons, and daughters, and aunts, and uncles, and siblings, and parents, and friends! It will be wonderful to see the full picture in Heaven!
